Presenting Outstanding Professional Dance Programs in 2022
Although Wuzhilin is an amateur performing group, it maintains exceptionally high artistic standards. In order to present outstanding dance works to audiences, the performers rehearse diligently and devote themselves fully to each production.
Peacock Dance in 2024
At this year’s “Blossom – Dancing in the Sunlight” performance, the troupe will present beloved and highly praised CCTV Spring Festival Gala dance pieces including “Auspicious Peacock” and “Orchid,” as well as dances such as “Ode to Coral,” together with audience-favorite songs.
The dance “Auspicious Peacock” is dreamlike and graceful, balancing strength and softness, motion and stillness, while vividly displaying the peacock’s elegant beauty. The dance “Orchid” takes the orchid—an iconic image in traditional Chinese culture—as its creative inspiration, expressing both the flower’s gentleness and resilience.
Promoting Traditional Chinese Dance Culture in 2024
Wuzhilin actively promotes and preserves Chinese dance culture while fostering artistic exchange between China and the United States. This performance will also feature the classical Chinese dance “Sword Dance,” rich in traditional Chinese artistic characteristics.
Children’s Dance Programs
The Wuzhilin Children’s Dance Troupe will present the children’s dance “Olympic Dream.” Their performances are lively, energetic, and filled with impressive, highly difficult movements.
The event will also include “Young Taiji Warriors,” presented by Master Li Qiang’s Martial Arts and Taiji School. Master Li Qiang has won multiple championships in Chinese martial arts competitions and has served as an international-level martial arts judge.
Committed to promoting ethnic and folk dance traditions, Wuzhilin will also present the vibrant ethnic dance “Tibetan Dance” during this performance.
Guest Violin Performance
Violinist Song Shiliang, who earned his Master’s degree in violin performance from the Yale School of Music, will perform at the event. Song has appeared as a concertmaster at Carnegie Hall and has won awards in American music competitions.
