海军码头的夏日焰火从5月28日起就开始绽放，此后每周三、六晚上都有表演。而临近独立日的焰火秀将在7月2日（星期六）晚上9点30分开始，持续15分钟。该表演也拉开了海军码头国庆日系列庆祝活动的序幕，整个假期海军码头将推出现场乐队、歌舞表演，以及众多适合家庭参与的活动。
在海军码头的观赏点，游客将有机会获得希尔顿提供的“衍射眼镜”，能够从别样的趣味视角观看烟花汇演，眼睛送完为止。此外，游客也可以选择购买一张船票，登上芝加哥的旗舰游船“Windy”号，一边沿着令人惊叹的芝加哥标志性的天际线航行，一边欣赏眼花缭乱的烟花表演。周六的游览于晚上 9 点 15 分准时开始。
