Sourcing / Design Engineer
American Chrome Company - Greater Chicago Area
Job description：
• Work with OE customers on design proposals, specifications and drawings to evaluate feasibility and cost with suppliers.
• Coordinate sales activity between customer and supplier to create win-win situations by establishing strategic alliances with suppliers to reach long-term cooperative relationships.
• Establish customer focused team to effectively manage projects and solve engineering disputes and quality issues to meet the needs of customers.
• Project management to ensure customer products are delivered on time.
• Maintain quality systems and perform root cause analysis.
• Negotiate and maintain supply agreements with China and Taiwan sources.
• Travel required.
Desired Skills and Experience：
• Minimum B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Must be fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese
• Ability to work as an integral part of purchasing/engineering team
• Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to overcome conflict
• Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks
• Skilled in AutoCAD and Pro/E systems (2D and 3D modeling)
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
